Vote for Squash as an Olympic Sport for 2020

UnknownOn September 8, 2013, the International Olympic Committee will decide which one of Squash, Wrestling and Softball will become an Olympic Sport for 2020.

The 2020 bid film has received nearly 140,000 hits. This is great, but it would be even better if we could report to the IOC that it has reached 150,000 before the crucial vote on 8th September.

Please help us reach 150,000 viewings for the squash bid film by seeing it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBGox9mV49Y and follow @vote4squash.

BVI’s Joe Chapman World #111 training in Florida with former World Champions David Palmer and Peter Nichol

1cropThe BVI’s #1, Caribbean’s highest ranked player and World #111 Joe Chapman is taking some time off competition over the summer and focusing on preparation for next season. He left the BVI on Monday to join up with two former World Champions at his training base in Orlando, Florida.

If you want to reach the top, it pays to learn from the best and Chapman is taking his quest on the PSA Tour very seriously. Although exposed to top players before, having played against Joe Kneipp (now BVI coach) and Cameron Pilley in the Commonwealth games Joe is constantly seeking out the very best coaching he can find. He has also spent considerable time being coached by former PSA stars including Chris Walker, Sarah Fitzgerald, Alex Gough, Martin Heath and the BVI coach Joe Kneipp who retired from the PSA Tour to coach at Tortola Sports Club.

The opportunity to train simultaneously with 2 former World Champions is an excellent opportunity to further Joe’s skills and he is very excited to be on court with his childhood heroes.
