The official mascot of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games is Clyde. Clyde represents the National symbol of Scotland – the thistle. His name originates from the third longest river in Scotland – River Clyde. Designed by Beth Gilmour, a United Kingdom student who won the Glasgow 2014 mascot design contest, Clyde was chosen because of his “Scottish symbolism and Glaswegian charm and likeability”.

To learn more about Clyde, please visit his official website. From March 17 to March 28, 2014, BVI residents will have an opportunity to win their very own Clyde! Please visit the BVIOC Facebook page for more information. See below for our gallery of Clyde touring the BVI!
