BVI participate in Digicel Jumpstart Basketball programme in Trinidad

Digicel in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) have sent five young athletes to Trinidad to participate in the “Elite Camp” stage of the Digicel Jumpstart Basketball programme.  The five successful athletes selected are D’Moi Hodge, Ajai Frett, Malachy Payne of Elmore Stoutt High School, Cory Flax Solomon of St George’s Secondary and Omar Walker of the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies.

The clinic being held 26th-28th September, is run by NBA International Basketball Operations staff and focusing on player development, will bring together the top 40 players aged 16 years and under from across the Caribbean.  The top eight players from the Elite Camp as determined by an NBA coach and legend will have the opportunity to attend an NBA game in the U.S.
