Baton relay from Tortola Sports Club to Government House featuring the sports that have been represented at Commonwealth Games (Track and Field, Squash, Cycling, 3×3 Basketball, Swimming)
Baton bearer Handover Spots
- Tortola Sports Club to Multipurpose Complex – 5-minute show case with young players and Mr. Joe Chapman – (4x Commonwealth Games squash player), followed by run to Multipurpose Complex (3:30pm – 3:45pm)
- Multisports Complex hand over to Birmingham 3×3 team members for 5-minute exhibition matches and hand over to BVIAA at A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground track entrance (3:45pm – 3:55pm)
- A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground – Baton bearers include Mr. Steve Augustine (past Commonwealth Games athlete), Hon. Kye Rymer (District 5 Representative) Ms. Shaunice Leonard (Director, DYAS), Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games team members to Sunday Morning Well (3:55pm – 4:25pm)
- Sunday Morning Well hand over to BVI Cycling Federation to HM Prison Museum (4.25pm – 4.30pm)
- HM Prison Museum handover to Hon. Luce Hodge-Smith (Junior Minister for Tourism and Culture) and Ms. Desiree Smith (Baton Artist) to Midtown Restaurant (4:30pm – 4:40pm)
- Midtown Restaurant hand over to Ms Ashley Kelly and Ms Karene King (past Commonwealth Games athletes) to Sir Olva Georges Plaza(4:40pm – 4:45pm)
- Sir Olva Georges Plaza hand over to Mr. Dean Greenaway (past Commonwealth Games athlete) to Queen Elizabeth II Park (4:45pm – 4:55pm)
- Queen Elizabeth II Park hand over to Hon. Julian Fraser (TBC) Minister for Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change to Green VI and Ms. S’Riyah Mitcham Commonwealth Sport BVI intern, to Mr. Dion Crabbe and Mr. Aliston Potter (TBC) past Commonwealth Games athletes (4:55pm – 5:15pm) to Government House
- Government House hand over to Acting Governor David Archer (5:15pm – 5:30pm)
All students, National Federations and their members and the general public are encouraged to join in as many legs of the relay as they can.
