A utility athlete, Varlack’s primary event was the Long Jump but he was pressed into action in both relays in Atlanta.

The first of many BVI athletes to attend Central Arizona College, Varlack transferred to Wichita State University where he enjoyed some success winning the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Long Jump in 1997.

Ralston Varlack was 21 when he represented the BVI in Rounds One of the men’s 4x100m and 4x100m relay.
