Lindel “Chef” Hodge

A graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, Lindel “Chef” Hodge earned NCAA Division II All America Honours in the 4 x400m relay. The national record holder in the 100m dash for several years, Hodge ranks among his country’s all-time top 10 over the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m distances. Lindel Hodge, at age 25, was the flag bearer for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

He competed in Round One of the men’s 200m with a time of 22.28 and the men’s 4x400m relay with a combined time of 3:11:89. Mr Hodge achieved his personal best in the 200m in 21.69, which he ran in 1992.

In Seoul 1988, Mr Hodge competed in Round One of the 100m with a time of 10.79. In 1985, he achieved his personal best in the 100m with a time of 10.3. Mr Hodge also represented the BVI in Round One of the 200m event with a time of 21.78 (an improvement of 00:5 on his time of 22.28 in the 1984 Summer Games).
