Karl Marcus Scatliffe was the first High Jumper from the British Virgins Islands (and the O.E.C.S. countries) to clear 7ft (2.13m). In a long national career, he bettered 2.10m on several occasions and is the only BVI athlete to have won a medal in a senior regional championships Jumping event.
Karl Marcus Scatliffe was 25 when he represented the BVI in the discipline of High Jump in the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. He was also the nation’s Flag bearer.
