Chantel Malone commemorative t-shirt!

Join us in celebrating Chantel Malone’s historic achievement of becoming the British Virgin Islands’ first Pan American Games medalist when she leapt to a gold medal win in the long jump on August 7th at Lima 2019 in Peru!

Limited edition commemorative t-shirts will be available from the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports on Thursday, October 10th until 4.00pm and on Friday, October 11th until 1:00pm. Adult $35, Youth $30, payment in cash or by check made payable to the BVI Olympic Committee. Proceeds will go towards offsetting the costs of the sports clinic. EVENTS

A motorcade will take off from the Queen Elizabeth II park at 3.00pm on Friday, October 11th and culminate with a recognition ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Education and Culture at 4.30pm at the Central Admin Complex.

Activities continue with a free sports clinic at the Multipurpose Complex / A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds on Saturday, October 12th from 9:00am – 1:00pm hosted by the BVI Olympic Committee and presented by Tahesia Harrigan-Scott of Tru Fit Athletics. The clinic will include an interactive discussion and practical sessions with the Territory’s elite track & field athletes Chantel Malone, Kyron McMaster (400m hurdler), Eldred Henry (shot put & discus) and Ashley Kelly (400m).
