Federations

In order for BVI athletes or teams to compete in an international competition, they must be a member of a national sport governing body. This body must be a recognized member of the BVI Olympic Committee to be eligible for entry into a Games.

The BVI has 15 National Sport Federations. Each Federation serves as the governing body for their sport in the BVI. Part of a Federation’s role is to promote and educate about their sport within the BVI. This may include the development of programs, coordination of local events, and overseeing their athlete and team participation in regional and international competitions.
